CEI-Iscte is accepting expressions of interest from researchers who wish to apply to the 6th edition of theIndividual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus (CEEC) 2023, promoted by FCT, having CEI-Iscte as host institution.

CEI-Iscte (Centre for International Studies at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon) – a multidisciplinary research centre, focusing on international developments of the 21st century and on complex social, political, and economic challenges that transcend national and international barriers – invites all those interested in developing their post-doctoral research plan with CEI as the host institution, to express their interest through the email cei@iscte-iul.pt, by sending:

  • Cover letter [with indication of the category to which you are applying, taking into account FCT’s reference*]
  • Research plan
  • Curriculum vitae 

The expressions of interest can be submited until April 3.

*Categories by FCT reference:

Junior researcher – PhD holders for 5 years or less, counted as of the closing date of the application submission period, with reduced post-doctoral research experience in the scientific area to which they are applying.

Auxiliary researcher – PhD holders for more than 5 and less than 12 years, inclusive, counted as of the closing date of the application submission period, with a relevant curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying.
Principal researcher– PhD holders for more than 12 years, counted as of the closing date of the application submission period, with a relevant curriculum vitae in the scientific area to which they are applying, demonstrating some scientific independence in the last 3 years.

CEI’s decision to accept the candidates will be communicated until 5 working days after the reception of the expression of interest.

The call is open from 4 April to 3 May 2023 (until 17:00 – Lisbon time) and applications are submitted individually, on the MyFCT platform, and in English. After this date CEI-Iscte will validate the applications submitted on the platform.
