On March 1, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) launched Notice of the Call and the Evaluation Guide for Call for the Award of Studentships for Doctoral Research in all Scientific Domains 2024, in the General Lineand in a Non-Academic Environment. Applications will be open between March 18 and April 18, 2024.
Applications will be open between 18 March and 18 April 2024. CEI-Iscte receives expressions of interest for host institution until 20 March.
The Studentships for doctoral studies are aimed at candidates enrolled, or who meet the necessary conditions for enrollment, in a study cycle leading to the degree of doctor and who intend to develop research activities leading to the degree.
Who can apply:
- PhD studentships in the regular line of application are aimed at applicants that are enrolled or that comply with the requirements to enroll in a PhD program to obtain a doctoral degree. They are suitable for candidates who want to develop PhD research activities in any academic institution, national or international, including public and private higher education institutions, R&D units, Associated Laboratories, as well as other private non-profit institutions whose main purpose is R&D activities.
Proposals must include the following elements:
- Doctoral programme you are enrolled in (or applying for);
- Work plan that includes:
- the main scientific area for which you are applying,
- title of the work programme,
- four keywords,
- summary and objectives,
- Motivation letter justifying the choice of CEI as the host institution and indicating the supervisor;
- Indication of the line to be called (Regular or Non-Academic Environment).
