CEI-Iscte is a partner of the European Forum on US History, a series of hybrid and rotating seminars bringing together eleven European institutions with the aim of promoting historiographical and interdisciplinary exchange, broadening the geographical scope of research and creating new opportunities for academic collaboration.
The latest edition of the European Forum will begin on 28 September, with an online seminar organised by the American Studies Centre at the University of Warsaw (Poland).
Brooke L. Blower (Boston University) will present Flying for Refuge: Europe’s Unwed Mothers and Birthright Citizenship at the US Border, 1880s–1920s.
The session is open to researchers, lecturers, students and anyone with an interest in the history of the United States.
