On 18 September, CEI-Iscte is organising the YouPrise Workshop, an initiative part of the final phase of the European Ecoprise project (February 2023 – January 2027), dedicated to promoting social entrepreneurship, sustainability and the regeneration of territories and communities.

The session will feature presentations of local-based projects developed by participants who have completed the pilot phase of the Ecoprise training programme and who, as part of the programme, have taken on the role of Ecoprise Designers. The projects will be presented by the participants themselves, providing an insight into different ways of applying the Ecoprise model in specific local contexts.

The workshop will also include a presentation of the Ecoprise model, an innovative framework for social entrepreneurship, co-created by a multidisciplinary and specialised consortium and inspired, amongst other sources, by the design of ecovillages and the ethical principles of permaculture. During the session, the seven central and interconnected dimensions of the Ecoprise model will be addressed: culture, purpose, regeneration, ownership and governance, networks, impact and replicability. The model’s ecosystemic approach, structured around four dimensions of sustainability and regeneration – Ecology, Economy, Social and Culture – will also be presented.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the Ecoprise MOOC course and explore the relevant teaching materials.

Target audience

The session is open to students, lecturers and researchers at Iscte, as well as participants on the Ecoprise course.

The session will take place in room A104, Building 4, Iscte.
