CEI-Iscte is a partner of the European Forum on US History, a series of hybrid and rotating seminars bringing together eleven European institutions with the aim of promoting historiographical and interdisciplinary exchange, broadening the geographical scope of research and creating new opportunities for academic collaboration.

The next session of the European Forum will take place on 26 October, with an online seminar organised by the Centre d’Histoire de Sciences Po (France).

Bastiaan Bouwman (Utrecht University) will present ‘Why Do They Fear to Return?’ Amnesty International’s Internationalization and Haitian Refugee Advocacy in the United States, 1973–1980. 

The session is open to researchers, lecturers, students and anyone with an interest in the history of the United States.
