Researcher Ana Margarida Esteves is one of the featured authors in issue no. 11 of Entrecampus Magazine (only available in portuguese), with a reflection on how major social transformations emerge from the margins and gradually infiltrate the mainstream. In the article, the researcher explores the transformative potential of the knowledge developed in the ecovillage movement and its application to broader contexts, such as universities, businesses and urban communities.
Based on the Ecoprise project, the researcher advocates a systemic, regenerative and cooperation-based approach that values the creation of mutual aid networks, a sense of community and the transformation of institutions from within. This is a relevant contribution to rethinking models of economic, social and institutional organisation in a context of rapid global change.
