CEI-Iscte researcher Pedro Seabra is co-author of a chapter recently published in the book Globalization Projects of Regional Organizations, by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht (Brill Group). The chapter, entitled The Globalization Project of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), was co-authored with Jens Herpolsheimer and is available in open access.

In this chapter, the authors analyze how the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) has sought to assert itself as a global actor, exploring the political, institutional, and discursive dynamics that underpin its globalization project. The chapter contributes to a reflection on the role of regional organizations in the contemporary international system, with a special focus on the CPLP as a linguistic and political community.
