Aula-Aberta no âmbito da unidade curricular “Seminário de Conflitos, Peacebuilding e Regulação Internacional” do Mestrado em Estudos Internacionais, com o orador convidado Coronel Nuno Lemos Pires.
Nuno Lemos Pires. Investigador do CEI-IUL e Professor na Academia Militar (AM). É Doutor em História, Defesa e Relações Internacionais pelo ISCTE-IUL (com a AM) e Mestre em Ciências Militares pela AM. Iniciou a carreira na Escola Prática de Infantaria; Professor de História Militar e Relações Internacionais no IAEM e AM; Intelligence Officer no NATO / Rapid Deployable Corps em Espanha; Assistente Militar do Comandante do NATO / Joint Command Lisbon; Comandante do 2º Batalhão de Infantaria Mecanizado e Diretor de Formação da Escola das Armas. Participou em missões em Moçambique, Angola, Paquistão, Etiópia e Afeganistão
Commandant of Cadets and Professor at the Portuguese Military Academy in Lisbon/ Portugal. He holds a PhD in History, Defence and International Relations; a Master degree in Military Science, a postgraduate in Military History; BA in Human Resources Management and a War College Diploma.  He served in several units including: as Platoon and Company commander in Infantry School; Military History and Strategy Professor at the PRT War College; as Intel Officer in NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Spain; as MA to the Commander at Joint Command Lisbon; as Mechanize Battalion Commander in the PRT Mechanized Brigade; as Training Director at the Combined Arms School. During his assignments he participated in mission in Mozambique, Angola, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Afghanistan.
