The launch of the 2nd edition of the Portuguese version of the Varieties of Democracy Report 2025 – 25 Years of Autocratization – Democracy Trumped? will take place on October 30 at 6 p.m. in Auditorium B1.04 (Building 2, Iscte).
The event analyses the global state of democracy, with a focus on Portuguese-speaking countries. For the first time, the report includes a variety of original articles on recent political developments in several Portuguese-speaking countries, such as Angola, Brazil and East Timor.

• Commentary and Debate: Professor Helena Carreiras (Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Pioneer Aliance, Iscte) and Professor Pedro Adão e Silva (Director of IPPS, Iscte)
