
The 6th International Conference on Social and Solidarity Economy and the Commons has launched a call for contributions for its 2026 edition, which will take place from 4 to 6 November at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon.
Under the theme “Hacking Our Common Future: Transnational cooperation between community-led initiatives in a fragmented world”, the conference invites researchers, activists, artists and professionals to reflect on new forms of transnational cooperation and economic alternatives based on community-led initiatives.
The event will place particular emphasis on topics such as the solidarity economy, digital infrastructure, post-growth models, cultural practices and the ecological transition, promoting interdisciplinary and experimental approaches.
Proposals may be submitted in various formats, including academic papers, experience reports, workshops and thematic sessions. Submissions are accepted in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish, although presentations will be delivered in English.

The conference will be held exclusively as an in-person event.
