The journal Ler História was once again ranked in the first quartile (Q1) of the international Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR), reaffirming its position among the most prestigious scientific publications in the field of History.
This is the second year in a row – and the third in the journal’s history – that Ler História has achieved this distinction, and it remains the only Portuguese journal in the speciality to feature in this tier of excellence.
The Q1 ranking reflects the journal’s impact and relevance on the international academic scene, as well as its sustained commitment to scientific quality, editorial rigour and valuing historiographical production.
In a dynamic and highly competitive context, where many academic journals change position every year, this distinction represents an important recognition of the work carried out by all those who contribute to Ler História’s editorial project – authors, evaluators, readers and the editorial team.
Ler História journal is a joint scientific publication of Iscte’s Centre for International Studies (CEI-Iscte) and the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-Iscte).
