O Centro de Estudos Internacionais do Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (CEI) informa que está aberto concurso individual para o financiamento de contratos para investigadores doutorados em todas as áreas científicas, no âmbito do programa Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual 2019, promovido pela Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). Todas as informações relativas ao concurso podem ser encontradas na página da FCT.
Neste concurso, os candidatos devem identificar previamente a instituição de acolhimento onde irão desenvolver o seu plano de investigação. Os doutorados selecionados são diretamente contratados pela instituição de acolhimento identificada, através de financiamento da FCT.
O CEI – um centro de investigação multidisciplinar, com enfoque em desenvolvimentos internacionais do século XXI e desafios sociais, políticos e económicos complexos que ultrapassam as barreiras nacionais e internacionais – convida todos os interessados em desenvolver o seu plano de investigação pós-doutoral tendo o CEI como instituição de acolhimento a manifestar o seu interesse através do email cei@iscte-iul.pt, enviando-nos uma carta de motivação, o plano de investigação e o curriculum vitae até ao dia 15 de fevereiro de 2020. Devem igualmente indicar a categoria à qual se candidatam, tendo em conta o que está previsto pela FCT:
- Investigador júnior: doutorados há 5 anos ou menos, com experiência de investigação pós-doutoral reduzida ou sem currículo científico após o doutoramento na área científica a que se candidata.
- Investigador auxiliar: doutorados há mais de 5 anos, com currículo relevante na área científica a que se candidatam, mas com independência científica limitada.
- Investigador principal: doutorados há mais de 5 anos, com currículo relevante na área científica a que se candidatam, demonstrando independência científica nos últimos 3 anos.
- Investigador coordenador: doutorados há mais de 5 anos, detentores do título de habilitado ou agregado em Portugal, com currículo de mérito elevado na área científica a que se candidatam, demonstrando independência científica e com evidência de liderança na área científica a que se candidata.
A decisão do CEI-IUL em acolher os candidatos será comunicada num máximo de 5 dias úteis após a receção da proposta.
O concurso estará aberto entre 30 de janeiro de 2020 e 26 de fevereiro de 2020 às 17h00 (hora de Lisboa).

The Centre for International Studies at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa hereby informs that an individual call for contracts aimed at PhD holders in all scientific areas is open, in the context of the 2019 Scientific Employment Stimulus promoted by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). In this competition, candidates must first identify the host institution where they will develop their research plan. The selected candidates are directly hired by the identified host institution, through FCT funding.
CEI – a multidisciplinary research centre, focusing on international developments of the 21st century and on complex social, political, and economic challenges that transcend national and international barriers – invites all those interested in developing their post-doctoral research plan with CEI as the host institution to express their interest through the email cei@iscte-iul.pt, by sending us a cover letter, a research plan, and curriculum vitae until February 15, 2020. They must also indicate the category to which they are applying, taking into account FCT’s reference categories:
- Junior Researcher: PhD holders for 5 or less years, with limited experience in post-doctoral research or without a scientific curriculum after their PhDs in the scientific area to which they are applying.
- Assistant Researcher: PhD holders for over 5 years, with a relevant curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying, but with limited scientific independence.
- Principal Researcher: PhD holders for over 5 years, with a relevant curriculum in the scientific area to which they are applying, demonstrating scientific independence over the past 3 years.
- Coordinating Researcher: PhD holders for over 5 years, holding the title of habilitado or agregado in Portugal, with a curriculum of elevated merit in the scientific area to which they are applying, showing scientific independence and with evidence of leadership in the scientific area to which they are applying.
CEI’s decision to accept the candidates will be communicated until 5 working days after the reception of the proposal.
The call is open from 30 January 2020 until 26 February 2020 at 5 p.m. (Lisbon time).
