This intensive course “Border Crossings: European Responses to Current Migration Issues” offers an introduction to the phenomenon of migration today and to the diversity of European responses to the current critical situation. In a multidisciplinary perspective, it aims to:
– stimulate analytical and critical thinking on this hot topic;
– raise students’ awareness and stimulate their sensitivity to the various dimensions of the phenomenon of contemporary migration and its impacts on host societies;
– promote a practical component through study visits to governmental organisations and non-governmental organisations on the topics addressed.
