Resumo Biográfico

Timea Pal is a political economist interested in the governance and developmental implications of international economic integration. Her previous work explored the sustainable governance of global supply chains, as well as economic and social upgrading in regions integrated in these production regimes. With an interest in less developed members of the European Union, her main regional focus so far has been on Eastern Central Europe. Her current project, supported by the Gulbenkian Foundation, examines Portugal’s international economic relations with emerging economies, particularly with Angola, Brasil, China and India.
