Resumo Biográfico

Aleksi Ylönen é investigador no Centro de Estudos Internacionais do Instituto Univeristário de Lisboa. Anteriormente foi investigador de Pós-doutoramento na Universidade de Turku, Finlândia e investigador visitante no Peace Research Institute Frankfurt, Alemanha. É membro do African Studies Group da Universidade Autónoma de Madrid, Espanha. A sua pesquisa concentra-se nos Estados, conflitos armados e nas questões de segurança, nas áreas geográficas do Sudão e Corno de África. Aleksi Ylönen tem leccionado em diversas universidades e o seu trabalho tem sido publicado em diversas línguas em livros, revistas científicas, e em jornais diários e online.
