Biographical Information

Cristina Gemmino holds a Master in Literature and Intercultural Translation from the Università degli Studi Roma Tre. Entitled to teach  Portuguese in Italian schools, she has experience in the areas of sociolinguistics and in the promotion of the Portuguese language as a language-culture of heritage. A doctoral student at ISCTE-IUL, her field of research focuses in African Studies and its interdisciplinary variances. Her particular focus is the Social Sciences and the study of identity representations ethnically located into the different narratives of Angola and Mozambique during the single-party period.
